Drippy was an icicle hanging by his toes,
Who liked to drink the water of the melting snows.

He was so busy drinking in his greedy state,
Drippy didn’t notice that he was gaining weight.

His toes kept holding bravely under this great strain,
but then without a warning, broke in sudden pain.

Then Drippy fell on downward with a mighty crash,
and burst into small pieces in a crystal splash.

And as the sun looked fiercely with a knowing grin,
he only saw some wet spots where Drippy should have been.
